The Skygo Duke is one of the most affordable two-wheelers now on the Philippine two-wheeler market and the most economical step-through underbone bike offered by the Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer Skygo. With its much more reasonable price and street-smart appearance, this underbone motorbike competes with the heavy-weight Japanese underbone bikes. Three different tones of black, red, and blue are offered for the Skygo Duke motorcycle.
Despite being one of the most reasonably priced two-wheelers now on the market in the nation, the Skygo Duke is not the most unappealing to look at. The Skygo Duke features a respectable-looking design for an underbone bike that includes some sleek and contemporary-looking aspects to set it apart from the competition.
The front of the Skygo Duke is the ideal side to view it from because of its huge, aggressive-looking headlamp that is concealed by a stylish handlebar cowl. The angular and pointy-looking side extensions of the svelte front apron are merged with L-shaped lighting components that house tiny daytime running LEDs and turn indicators with transparent lenses. The front profile has a pointed appearance because to the front fender’s beak-like design.
The big front apron of the Skygo Duke is wide enough to conceal your legs and knees when riding, giving the bike a respectably athletic appearance from the sides. The design is nicely embellished with respectable-looking stickers that provide a touch of youth to the slim-appearing side body panels. The Skygo Duke has spoke wheels that are reasonably priced, but the engine is shiny black. The shock absorbers have a sporty-looking red finish towards the back, and the exhaust pipe has a chrome helmet covering it.
A broad tail lamp cluster serves as the focal point of the tail section, which is formed by the long single-piece seat and inclination side body panels. In addition to the main tail lamp, which is positioned in the centre, this cluster also includes integrated turn indicators with clear lenses. The Duke’s rear design is completed by a long-tail fender and a sizable black pillion grab rail.
The Skygo Duke has a relatively compact instrument panel that fits two circular pods, one for the speedometer and one for the fuel gauge. An analogue odometer is also added to the speedometer housing. Given the incredibly low cost of the underbone bike, it was to be expected that the general quality standards of the body panels and switchgear would feel a little too simple.
A single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, 107cc engine with a maximum output of 6.1 horsepower and a maximum torque output of 6.9 Nm powers the Skygo Duke. The Skygo Duke’s power output feels below average for a bike that weighs 100 kg and doesn’t give it the zippy nature one may expect from a 110cc bike. Even the 4-speed gearbox has a clumsy feel to it when in use.
