The Chinese two-wheeler company Nwow produces a number of attractive and popular scooters, including the Turtle King. One such scooter, the Nwow Turtle King, tries to cash in on the rising interest in retro-themed scooters with its vintage appearance and simple handling. The Nwow Turtle King motorcycle comes in matt black, white, red, and black with red graphics, and it is offered in the Philippines as an entry-level scooter.
When compared to the rest of Nwow’s product line, the Turtle King stands out as being more well-made and fashionable-looking. The essence of the Nwow Turtle King‘s retro appearance is its inspiration, which comes from vintage scooters. The Nwow Turtle King has rounded and curved body panels that give it an intriguing appearance.
The Nwow Turtle King welcomes you with a broad, rounded front apron that is set somewhat lower than the rest and has a rounded LED headlamp built into the top of it in a special housing. Although it appears to be open, the handlebar above the front apron is cleverly concealed in the middle by a little filtered visor. The round-themed front of the Nwow Turtle King is further completed by the rounded turn indicators with chrome housings set on the side parts of the front apron and a high-mounted curved front fender.
The scooter’s retro concept is carried out much better when viewed from the side profile. Contrary to the majority of retro-themed scooters, which have a small tunnel in the middle, this one has a flat floorboard. A sizable, single-piece, tan-colored seat is located above the rounded side body panels, giving them a sophisticated, proportionate appearance. The seat is big enough to serve as a perch for two average-sized persons and is wide and well-padded.
The Nwow Turtle King comes with a small tubular grab rail behind the seat that has an extended luggage carrier at its back. With a modest tail lamp and two distinct, rounded amber turn indicators, the scooter’s back end also appears uncomplicated and minimalist. The scooter has multi-spoke black alloy wheels, which complement the scooter’s design aesthetic.
Like the rest of the scooter’s design, the Nwow Turtle King’s rider cockpit appears to be pretty straightforward. Aside from the standard warning lamps, this cockpit contains a straightforward instrument console with a speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge. The Nwow Turtle King’s overall design is undoubtedly eye-catching, but there is room for improvement in terms of fit, finish, and build quality.
