Chelsea have agreed a preliminary deal with Monaco for Disasi, an imposing centre back who can also operate right-sided of defence. Disasi joined Monaco from Reims in 2020 and was part of their 2022 World Cup squad.
Reality star Kim and husband Cole recently unveiled their home decor line and launched an HGTV show called Down Home Fab, as well as renovating their own house.
The deal is worth PS45m
Pochettino has made several significant signings this summer transfer window, but signing Disasi stands out among them as being among his key initiatives. The 25-year-old is a right-sided defender
Disasi is a versatile central defender who has also proven capable of playing on the right flank for Chelsea, giving them more options at the back and adding depth to their defence. His strong aerial presence and ability to break an aggressive press with a dribble or acceleration provide Chelsea with versatile options in defence.
According to reports by The Athletic, Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle for Monaco defender Axel Disasi. The 25-year-old France international holds a contract until 2025 at Monaco; therefore his arrival would provide much-needed cover following Wesley Fofana’s injury and need for replacements.
Disasi’s arrival will bolster Chelsea’s defence, offering competition to Levi Colwill, Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah at centre-back. His arrival could mark Malang Sarr’s exit – although whether that happens remains unknown; nevertheless his presence could put an end to speculation that Chelsea is looking at loaning out Levi Ugochukwu.

He has a contract with Monaco until 2025
Chelsea have leapfrogged Manchester United and Newcastle by agreeing a preliminary deal for Monaco defender Disasi. At 25-years-old centre back who can also play right back, Disasi’s estimated transfer fee should come to around PS45m with his contract having already run until 2025 at Monaco.
Chelsea were forced into action following Wesley Fofana’s serious knee injury that is likely to keep him out until at least the start of next season. Although Levi Colwill, Thiago Silva and Malo Gusto provide cover at centre back already, adding Disasi will give them greater depth.
Last season, he was a key component of Monaco, starting 37 out of 38 league matches and featuring in Didier Deschamps’ France squad during their World Cup final victory over Croatia. Additionally, this former Reims and Paris FC player earned four caps for France as part of Didier Deschamps’ France team, as well as being featured 129 competitive games at Monaco over three years.

He is a France international
Disasi is an excellent addition to Chelsea’s defence following the injury to Wesley Fofana. A veteran French international center-back who can also play right back, Disasi makes for an ideal pick in teams such as Chelsea that often switch between three and four backlines.
Disasi made an impressive move from Reims to Monaco for EUR13 million in 2020 and quickly established himself as one of the premier center-backs in Ligue 1. In 2022 he represented France at the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar.
Manchester United had expressed interest in Disasi, but Chelsea beat them to it after striking an agreement with Monaco for an estimated transfer fee of EUR45 million. Chelsea will likely reunite Disasi with former teammate Benoit Badiashile who joined them from Monaco last January and thus provide him with elite competition for Levi Colwill, Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah during the forthcoming season.
