Idah, Kogi State, Nigeria. Well known for its bronze casting industry; early Igala Kingdom adopted both the system of kingship as well as the cire perdue method from Benin for casting its bronze.
Angus Gunn saves a deflected Scott Kashket shot before Adam Idah was brought back into play for his home debut – almost scoring within minutes but hitting the crossbar instead.
Liam Delap opened the scoring for Hull
Norwich created many chances in the first half, but were ultimately responsible for their own downfall when Duffy and Gibson clashed, leading Delap to fire home an incredible left-footed finish past Angus Gunn after 17 minutes. Norwich ramped up pressure following that goal and Onel Hernandez came close with an overhead pass before Josh Sargent forced a fine save out of Ingram from Jack Stacey’s corner kick.
Substitute Adam Idah proved his value late on by quickly reacting to a late goalmouth melee and scoring the second goal for his side – capping an exciting encounter where both teams created multiple chances.

Jonathan Rowe levelled for the Canaries
Norwich improved following an initially disjointed start and created numerous chances, including Gabriel Sara’s snapshot going just wide of its target, and Onel Hernandez shooting over. But it took Idah, only on the pitch for 84 seconds at that time, to break through and give Norwich the lead; Marco Stiepermann’s pass sliced through Preston defence before setting free Republic of Ireland Under-21 forward Idah who made no mistake slipping the ball past Connor Ripley.
Delap’s opener was an exquisite strike following an unfortunate mix-up in defence, while visitors had to wait until first-half stoppage time for another home goal – Harrison Furlong and Jack Stacey had chances, only for Idah to toe-poke it in after coming on as sub after goalmouth scramble – almost for his third goal, although Ripley saved Idah’s low effort but canaries held on and secured victory, giving themselves another shot at topping the Championship table despite their difficulties in front of goal! Despite their struggles front of goal they still have a chance at becoming champions this season if they can improve on front of goal and seal victory this time round!

Idah scored a dramatic goal in added time to seal the win
Norwich made a winning start to their Sky Bet Championship season, defeating Hull City 2-1 at Carrow Road thanks to a late goalmouth scramble won by substitute Adam Idah and prodded home in added-time by Republic of Ireland star Adam Idah – his goal set off an exciting encounter!
David Wagner summoned Idah off the bench with four minutes remaining in normal time, replacing summer signing Ashley Barnes. Idah immediately made an impactful debut by connecting with Teemu Pukki’s low cross and scoring within five minutes of stoppage time.
Hull scored first when Delap, following Ismaila Sarr’s pass, latched onto it and fired it low into the bottom corner of goal. But Norwich responded swiftly after halftime through Jonathan Rowe’s stunning strike which saw him net his first for Canaries – and their win propelled them up 18th place on the league table.

Wycombe’s second goal was ruled out for offside
Last weekend he made his debut for Norwich as a substitute against Crystal Palace but here he played an instrumental part for them, playing an integral part in both of their goals. First he assisted Hernandez before taking advantage of another momentary defensive error to seal it later in the game.
Norwich kicked off in poor fashion, trailing to Delap’s opener before Rowe almost equalised almost immediately with an attempt. And in 34 minutes Delap almost caught Norwich napping again when he burst through and fired off an effort that was only narrowly saved by Gunn’s quick thinking when his shot flew past him but narrowly over the top corner.
Idah’s late goal proved the perfect conclusion to an encounter that provided Norwich with a major test, helping them move off the bottom of the Championship table. Elsewhere, Alan Browne scored twice to lead Preston past Huddersfield 2-1 while James McClean scored as Stoke beat Brentford 3-1; making this their second win in as many weeks and propelling them towards seventh in the table.
