7 Ways To Improve Lil Gator Game

Lil Gator Game is a cute adventure game, but it could be even better with a few changes.
MegaWobble’s creative tribute to the Legend of Zelda series, Lil Gator Game, is about a young anthropomorphized alligator trying to get his bigger sister to play with him again like she used to. It has been attracting players with its cuteness and short playtime.
Even though Lil Gator Game is simple and easy to play for many, especially those who are familiar with the Legend of Zelda series and the many games that were influenced by it, it’s still not perfect, and it could use some changes to make it even better than it already is.
A Detailed Map

Lil Gator Game doesn’t have a map screen, so you can’t figure out where you’re going or find and search through places you haven’t been before. Even though not having this feature isn’t as bad as it seems, adding it could help you avoid getting stuck in the same places.
This map could also have all the normal features, like different markings to show where things are, a waypoint marker for when you want to go to a certain area, and a compass to make sure you’re going in the right direction.
More Accessibility Options

Accessibility choices seem like something that Lil Gator Game would have, but it doesn’t. There are still a lot of games that don’t have accessibility choices, but they are becoming more common in all types of games, from indie games to AAA games.
Not all games with accessibility features have the same choices, but many of them let you help your eyes, ears, and muscles, make changes if you get motion sickness, change how you move, how you fight, and more. Because of how Lil Gator Game is played, it wouldn’t need all of these, and it already has a few small ones, but adding more accessibility choices would let more people play it comfortably.
Alternate Skins & Outfits

Lil Gator can wear different hats and headpieces, but his green skin and brown pants always look the same, no matter what accessories he has on. Having different skins and more clothes would add some variety.
Some of these possible new skins and clothes could be based on well-known characters from the Legend of Zelda series, while others could be based on references to other media. Maybe there could even be a skin based on the underrated but fondly remembered Croc series, since the main character could be seen as Lil Gator’s predecessor.
Game Encyclopedia

It can be hard to keep track of all the people Lil Gator meets on his adventure and what he gets by helping them. An in-game encyclopedia that lists everyone he meets and what they give him could help keep track of this so that you don’t keep talking to people you’ve already helped.
It would also be interesting to see how Lil Gator would explain each enemy type and the many other things that can be found on the islands. To fit in with the rest of the game, these descriptions would probably be funny and creative.
Quest Tracker

Lil Gator Game could add a task tracker in addition to a game encyclopedia, since many of the characters who give Lil Gator quests are spread out and don’t always live near each other. Most quests are easy, but if you don’t know what to do or where to find something you need, you could go explore and finish other tasks while you wait.
With a quest tracker, you could quickly find out what quests you’ve started but haven’t finished yet, or if you haven’t played the game in a while, what quests certain things and activities are for.
More Visual Filters

Lil Gator Game looks most like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker because its art style is similar. It also has two art styles: smooth and crunchy. Smooth is the normal, and crunchy makes everything look like pixels. But what if Lil Gator Game had more graphic styles that were based on other games in the same series?
If you wanted to make a visual filter like the one in the Link’s Awakening version, you might have to make another game. Still, there could be effects that make Lil Gator Game look more like Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword instead of just copying the style of Wind Waker and making it look more pixelated.
A Co-Op Mode

Since Eggy Car game is about Lil Gator trying to get his bigger sister to play with him like they used to, and there are memories that show how they used to play together, a co-op mode set in the recent past could be a fun extra feature.
Due to all the friends he has made on his journey, Lil Gator and his sister wouldn’t have to be the only playable characters. Instead, there could be a wider range of anthropomorphic animals to play as. Who wouldn’t want to be a dog named Skate Pug who skates?
