ComfortMyTravel Itinerary for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
Day 01: Lucknow to Nepalgunj Drive
The ride is about 180 kilometers and an hour’s drive through a luxury vehicle. Arrive at 1:00 PM in Lucknow where our team will welcome you and brief you about the trip. After a vegetarian lunch served by the ComfortMyTravel team, we will start from Lucknow to Nepalgunj at 02:00 PM. After reaching Nepalgunj, you will be introduced to your co-travelers. A briefing session will be conducted during the evening. You will be spending the night at the guesthouse in Nepalgunj. A sumptuous dinner will be served to you in the end.
Day 02: Fly From Nepalgunj to Simikot (4025m)
After an early breakfast, you will proceed towards Nepalgunj airport to board the scheduled flight to Simikot. On arrival at Simikot, a chartered helicopter will ferry you to Hilsa. Once you complete your immigration formalities at Hilsa, our vehicles will take you to Taklakot. At Taklakot, you will be checked into a comfortable hotel for a night’s halt.
Day 03: Enjoy your stay at Taklakot
Relax in your hotel room in Taklakot. Prepare yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually for the journey of your life, the Mount Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage. You can also take a walk to visit the local markets an hour before yatra.
Day 04: Drive to Chui Gompa, Mansarovar (4590 m)
This day you will be embarking on Mount Kailash Yatra. You will have your first Darshan of the Holiest of the Holy Mansarovar Lake. After breakfast, you will march to Chui Gompa by road, and negotiate the undulating, picturesque terrain via Rakshas Taal. You can take a quick dip into the Holy Lake or do puja there. Depending on the availability of time, a visit to the Hot Spring can be arranged in the evening. You will spend the night at a beautiful guest house near Lake Mansarovar.
Day 05: Drive from Mansarovar to Tarboche (35 Kms)
After breakfast, the group will travel to Tarboche. On the way, we will cross the Yama Dwar, the gate to the Kingdom of the Gods. At Tarboche, you will meet the Yak and the Yak men, which will be the starting point of your Parikrama. Here, you can hire a Yak and a porter to carry your luggage. During the trek to Dirapuk, you will have your first darshan of Holy Mt. Kailash. You will be spending the night at our camp at Dirapuk. A Satvik hot dinner would be served.
Day 06: Trek to Zuthulphuk (5600 m)
Start your morning with a stunning view of Mount Kailash. After breakfast, you will begin your trek uphill towards Zuthulphuk. Please prepare yourself both physically and mentally for this trek. Trekking under Mount Kailash, you will reach the Drolma La pass, the highest point of the trek. This trek is going to be a little steep, so you must be in a fit condition. From the Drolma La Pass, we will descend towards the gradual field of Zuthulphuk. As you move down, you will be blessed with the Darshan of Gauri Kunda. The walk will become pleasant and relaxing from the valley, with gentle slopes. At Zuthulphuk, you can relax and soak in the breathtaking view around you. Then, you will spend the night at our pleasant guesthouse kept warm for you.
Day 07: Trek from Zuthulphuk to Darchen (10 km)
After breakfast, you will climb up to these caves before the final trek to the holy Kailash Mount. After a 10 km walk, you will reach the final destination near Darchen. From here our vehicles will take you to the hotel in Taklakot for a restful, overnight stay.
Day 08: From Taklakot to Nepalgunj via Simikot and then drive to Lucknow
Congratulations! You have completed your Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. After an early breakfast at Taklakot, you will be driven towards the China-Nepal border which must be crossed on foot. After completing all the immigration formalities, you will proceed towards Hilsa, where you will take a 25-minute Helicopter ride back to Simikot. From Simikot, you will take another connecting flight to Nepalgunj. From Nepalgunj, you will drive straight into Lucknow.
