Tomestones
Tomestone materials are another in-game currency that is often hard to keep track of. They can be used for crafting, gathering, and balancing jobs. They can also be flipped for a significant amount of Gil on the Market Board.
Players can earn gil through levequests, Grand Company seals, duty finder tasks, completing quests, killing enemies, and buying items from the Market Board. It can be exchanged for other in-game currencies, including Allagan tomestones and Ixali oaknots.
The most popular way to get gil in how to make gil in ffxiv is by doing main scenario quests, guildleves, and duty finder tasks. Players can also make a substantial amount of gil by completing the Wondrous Tails journal, and if lucky enough, they may even receive some astronomy tomestones in their loot. New tomestones become available every expansion. Older tomestones can be traded in to Rowena or her lackeys for gear at a reduced rate. Currently, Poetics tomestones are the highest-tier capped tomestone.
Seals
There are a number of ways to make Gil in Final Fantasy 14. Adventurers can engage in levequests, utilize Grand Company Seals, create and sell consumables, participate in the materia market, and take advantage of tomestone materials. It is important to keep in mind that the Gil market is constantly changing. What was once worth a fortune can quickly become something that no one wants.
Among the most reliable ways to turn Seals into Gil is through buying items that can later be sold for a profit. This requires a little business knowledge and market awareness. A good place to start is with the NPC Hismena, found in Rowena’s Center for Cultural Promotion, Idyllshire. He offers Augmented Shire armor, which can be sold to junk vendors for a respectable 64 Gil apiece, making this the best raw Gil exchange since Demicrystal prices were nerfed. He also sells Goblinol and Goblacquer for 10 Poetics each, which can be sold to junk vendors for 64 Gil apiece as well.
Ventures
There are multiple ways to make Gil in FFXIV, including farming, raiding, completing guildleves, and working the Duty Finder. However, one of the most steady sources of money in the game comes from completing Ventures. These are similar to Expeditions in other games, where players send their retainers on missions that yield a large amount of rewards.
Using these Venture coins — which can be acquired from Beast Tribe Quests, Guildleves, and Grand Company vendors — on the Market Board is a solid way to make a profit. However, it’s not the best way to make a lot of Gil. A better option is to use the coins on Raw Materials like Eikon Mythrite, Domacoat, and Multifaceted Resin. These can be sold for upwards of 100,000 gil on the Market Board. This makes it possible to turn Tomestones of Poetics into a huge pile of Gil with very little effort. Aside from this, there’s also a chance that your Retainers will bring back something rare or valuable that can sell for a lot of Gil.
Dark Matter
The durability of weapons and armor decreases over time, but players can use a special item called Dark Matter to restore it. This is an expensive item, but luckily there are many ways to earn it in Final Fantasy XIV.
Some of the most popular methods to make Gil include levequests, Grand Company seals, crafting consumables, and gathering materia. These methods offer a good balance between battle and gathering, allowing players of any class to make Gil.
Other popular methods to earn Gil include selling old gear that players don’t need anymore on the market board, doing map dungeons to obtain rare drops like minions or the new Relic Weapons, and farming certain dungeons to acquire high-value items. Having a large amount of Gil also gives players a lot more freedom to play the game how they want, including porting around the world or buying Catchup gear. Having a large amount of Gil is fun and rewarding, especially with how easily it carries over between chapters and New Game Plus.
