Bharat Ki Khoj Kisne Ki

Let us tell you that India was discovered (Bharat Ki Khoj Kisne Ki) by a Portuguese sailor named Vasco da Gama on 20 May 1498 AD. Vasco da Gama was a Portuguese citizen and also a sailor. For your information, let us tell you that on May 20, 1498, he landed with a group of 4 sailors in Calicut port, which is a part of Kerala state. After staying in Calicut port for three months, he again went to Portugal. After this, 170 people had come in the original group and some people died on the way due to a disease called scurvy and only 54 people were able to return with them. It would be wrong to say that India was discovered by Vasco da Gama. Rather, Vasco da Gama gets the credit for the discovery of India because he discovered the sea route and entered India. However, there were many opportunities for trade in India and after this many people came to India for the purpose of doing business in India through the same route which was discovered by Vasco da Gama.
