When is IPL Auction 2024? What Is The Exact Date And Time? Where Can I Watch IPL Auction Live Streaming?

The cricketing fraternity is eagerly waiting for the highly-anticipated IPL auction 2024. The event will mark a historic event as it is going to take place outside India for the very first time. While the IPL has been played outside the country on a number of occasions so far, the auction will be taking place outside the country for the first time.

The much-awaited event is scheduled to take place at the Cola-Cola Arena in Dubai. A total of 1166 players had registered themselves for the auction before the list was shortlisted to 333. Of those, 214 are Indians while the remaining 119 are overseas players including two from associate nations – Paul van Meekeren from the Netherlands and David Wiese from Namibia.

The ten franchises can buy a total of 77 players in the auction. Kolkata Knight Riders have the maximum slots to fill – 12 while Gujarat Titans will enter the auction with the highest purse – Rs 38.15 crores. The Gujarat-based outfit will be looking to replace their former captain Hardik Pandya who was recently traded to Mumbai Indians in a sensational deal.

Lucknow Super Giants have the lowest purse – Rs 13.15 crores. As many as 23 players have registered themselves in the highest bracket of base price (Rs 2 crores). Of those, only three are Indians – Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel and Umesh Yadav.
