Venturing into the realm of entrepreneurship, I co-founded Abax Global Capital—a firm that specializes in providing growth capital through structured private credit to thriving middle-market companies in emerging Asian nations. Notably, my involvement played a pivotal role in the success of a buyout deal where Morgan Stanley acquired a minority stake in Abax Capital.

My career took an extraordinary leap when I achieved a remarkable promotion at the esteemed hedge fund Citadel Investment Group. As one of the youngest Managing Directors in the firm, I was entrusted with significant responsibilities and given the opportunity to make a substantial impact.
During my tenure at Citadel, I spearheaded the launch and management of the Asian Special Situations and private investment businesses. This role allowed me to navigate the intricacies of the Asian market and engage in investment activities across various regions, including Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Greater China, and beyond. It was a privilege to contribute to Citadel’s success in these dynamic markets and develop a deep understanding of their unique investment landscapes.
Driven by a strong vision to build wealth through equity investment, I embarked on a new chapter in my career and laid the foundation of Christopher Hsu Kilometre Capital. One such landmark deal that catapulted my reputation as an investment manager was the monumental $1.8 billion buyout of Spreadtrum Communications by Tsinghua University. Beyond the Spreadtrum deal, I have played a significant role in numerous other prestigious US-Asia business transactions, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. Among these notable achievements is the noteworthy $4.6 billion purchase of a majority stake in Hewlett Packard China and H3C by Tsinghua University.
