Wingless clamp

These are non-metallic as it is designed with polycarbonate plastic. These are designed for a purpose like to give lesser pain in gingiva. And it has all the qualities of a soft clamp.
Active and passive clamps
There are two clamps in one where active clamp comes and provides a firm grip to the tooth and passive clamp helps in dislodge easily. Also, it has enough length of floss which easily passes through the holes.

Initially one has to choose the right clamp, and then place it on the cervical area of the tooth, which is considered as the narrow part, and then further process takes place. It never gets done only with the rubber dam clamps but Brinker’s are also used in this process.
