Although the Linksys velop setup is an easy-to-use mesh system you can start using it once it is set up perfectly. But, there can be some common errors that can stop you from using this device or make the network slow. In that case, you need to use some advanced troubleshooting tips to get those errors fixed to start using the device again. So, use these below-mentioned tips separately to get the error clear.
Reboot The Velop And Nodes
Sometimes there are some temporary unrecognizable errors that can create Velop’s working sluggish or any other issues in the network. At that time, only rebooting the velop and its nodes can help a lot to get rid of those issues. So, you must power cycle the nodes once by unplugging their power cables from the power sockets. But, wait a few minutes before plugging in the nodes again. Then, check whether the light or other glitches are resolved or not from the velop. If they still persist, then take advanced resolving tips.
Change Velop And Nodes Placement
The better placement of the Velop and nodes also plays a major role in preventing errors in the network. So, check this thing too and make sure the velop and its nodes are within the range of each other. Also, choose an area where there are no electrical appliances or metallic things. Apart from that, there must be a strong connection between these devices with a working ethernet wire.
Reboot Your Existing Modem
If you face an error like Linksys velop connected but no internet, there can be a problem with the modem. So, power cycle the modem and plug it in again after some time. If there is no internet error then contact your ISP and check if the internet plan is active or not. Moreover, you can update the internet plan if the older one is not sufficient for you. Later, check if the Linksys velop connected but no internet issue is resolved or not.
Update The Velop Firmware
If the Linksys velop network is still not running as it should then also check for the firmware updates of it. Outdated firmware can be a significant reason for the network’s slow working and other errors. To check this, go to the velop’s web interference and choose the Administration option to see the latest version. Update the firmware if there is any new available on the management page and reboot the velop after finishing this. Check if the velop is turned back in its actual state, and if it is not, try another method.
Check velop’s Advanced Settings
If in any case, you face a Linksys port forwarding not working issue, there could be some faults in the velop’s advanced settings. Either there will be IP conflicts or the settings are not well-managed. To verify this, go to the web management page again and access the velop’s settings portal for further processing.
In the port forwarding feature, if you are using two or more applications there might be IP conflicts of the devices. So, verify this point by checking your connected devices’ IP addresses and changing any of them to solve the error. If the port forwarding error still keeps occurring then reset the configured settings.
Reset The Velop
If there are some faults in the older configured settings, then you need to discard those settings through the reset process. There are two different ways available to reset the velop that you can try out for your device.
Reset From Management Portal
In the first method, you need to go to the web interference of the velop to factory default the settings. Access the management window and click on the Factory default option to reset the velop. But, if you want to store the installed settings then you can make a backup of them from the below-given option. So, create a backup of the velop before moving to the reset process.
Reset By Pressing The Button
If you fail in the first reset process then choose another method that is by using the dedicated reset button. Find that button on the Velop and it will mostly be located on the bottom panel. But, before pressing that make sure to collect the essential details and changes that you made with your velop earlier.
Note down them and when you press the button there will be a Linksys velop node blinking red sign. This indicates that the velop is resetting and once it becomes stable you can start the setup process from scratch now. Use any method from several setup processes and configure the velop perfectly.
Confirm that all the issues from the Linksys velop are resolved once you configure it again. But, if they are not then you must take support from our technical experts.
