
Maya Bay, famously known as “The Beach,” stands as not only Thailand’s most renowned beach but also one of the globe’s top tourist attractions. Immortalized by Leonardo DiCaprio’s film “The Beach,” this picturesque destination boasts pristine white sands, azure waters, and a backdrop of towering limestone cliffs and vibrant coral reefs, drawing millions of visitors annually. However, in June 2018, Thailand’s Department of National Parks took the unprecedented step to temporarily close Maya Bay on Phi Phi Le Island.
